Building Envelope Engineer-in-Training
JRG is looking for a talent ready to work for a quickly growing engineering firm primarily focusing on residential construction. Experience in the construction industry is a must. Whether right out of school or looking for a switch from your current job, you may have a position at JRG.
We seek a Building Envelope Engineer-in-Training ready to do quality control field reviews. We cherish career-oriented people who want to learn, grow and lead their field at JRG. Applicants must have a college/university engineering degree or engineering certificates.
The ideal candidate:

- MUST LIVE IN METRO VANCOUVER or the Lower Mainland area to interview for this job and receive a reply to your post. Please, be legally able to work in Canada.
- Will be skilled in technical writing and have excellent communication skills—written and oral.
- Will be experienced with local construction methods and materials.
- Will be exceptionally knowledgeable in the field of building science and building envelope design.
- Will be an intelligent, creative thinker with great attention to detail.
The job responsibilities and duties will include the following:
- Learning and understanding the building code.
- Technical writing.
- CAD drafting and sketching.
- Building envelope design and inspections.
- Field reviews and reporting.
- Determine deficiencies in the building envelope.
- Remediate the deficiencies in the building envelope (new and existing construction).
- Guide contractors, building officials, and professionals on building envelope applications.
- Business development.

Salary Range: $60,000.00–$65,000.00 per year
